Brodie the Prankster and his rival wanted to play with George Hutchins, but he's too busy doing the chores and told by his dad!

In the strip, Brodie is waiting for George as they're going out for play. But as George opens the door, he's being told by his dad and saying he has to do some chores before going out for play. John comes here and says to Brodie what he's waiting for. As they spoke too soon, George tells them he has to do some chores before playing. Brodie says he and John will just wait for him, but George says to them he must do it for another hour, so he lets them play themselves while he's finished. Speechless, John said they have to play themselves, so Brodie accepted and goes out for a play without George.
